Pacquiao_vs_mosley_latest_pictures5643

He may be in the Twilight of his career and zeroing in on his 40th birthday but “Sugar” Shane Mosley is still a tough night’s work for anyone. For a few years now Mosley has wanted to fight Manny Pacquiao, he has got what he wished for and takes on the Filipino Icon on 7 May in Las Vegas at The MGM Grand in front of millions on Showtime PPV. It’s a fight Mosley believes he can win; he has blind faith in his ability and left his position as a partner of Golden Boy Promotions to take up this challenge. After Mosley, Who's next?

Pacquiao_vs_mosley_latest_pictures345

This will be the big question of all the people around the world who love to follow of what will be Pacquiao's fight update. Who will be the next man to fight againts the Philippine pride Manny Pacquiao after Sugar Shane Mosley. It would be Floyd Mayweather Jr? Pacquiao say's that if he can fight Floyd, that is the time that he will retire. I see that Manny dreams to fight Floyd. I do not know how and what will happen the negotiation of both parties. Let us still wait of what will be the next.

Before Pacquiao entered the welterweight division, this strata was the most exciting division in boxing. The top fighters could be found in this division such as Floyd Mayweather, Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Paul Williams, Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto. The possibilities of good match ups were endless.

But now that Pacquiao has entered this division, the same excitement has somehow fizzled. This could also be due to Manny Pacquiao himself who destroyed several of these top contenders such as de la Hoya, Hatton and Cotto. While the other top boxers were also destroyed by fighters whom Pacquiao already defeated.

But there is still Andre Berto. This fighter is a dangerous but low-reward fighter which would not be too attractive for a possible Pacquiao opponent. Nevertheless, it would be exciting to see these two slug it out in the ring.

So what is the option of Manny Pacquiao assuming he demolish Shane Mosley? Should he stay in the same division, move up or go back to the lower divisions. Should he grant Marquez a third fight? What do you suggest? Hit the comments.

Pacquiao_vs_mosley_fight_2011

Pacquiao vs Mosley - There are rumors coming out that Pacquiao’s next opponent will be Shane Mosley. The idea is, Pacquiao vs Mayweather, but Mayweather already booked Juan Manuel Marquez and Pacquiao don’t want to wait for the result of the fight. I guess Pacquiao is in a hurry to have the most number of boxing match because he’s gonna retire this year.

After Manny Pacquiao destroyed Ricky Hatton on Saturday night, most of the post-fight talk centered on the likelihood of Pacquiao fighting the winner of the July 18 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez. But Shane Mosley, the top welterweight in the world, thinks he should be Pacquiao’s next opponent.

“I’m definitely campaigning for a fight with Manny Pacquiao,” Mosley said in an interview with inthiscornertv.com. “That would be a great fight the world wants to see. He’s definitely No. 1 pound for pound right now, I’m the No. 1 welterweight right now and I’ve been pound-for-pound before, so let’s get it on. … I’ll be ready.”

The Pacquiao vs Mosley - CBS Showtime’s Fight Camp 360 Previews

Pacquiao_vs_mosley_latest_pictures

Here’s a preview of Showtime’s Fight Camp 360 which will air on April 2 on CBS. The focus of the show is the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

What i noticed about this video is that it was not designed for the boxing fans who already know Pacquiao and Mosley. The purpose may be to introduce the two fighters to other sports fans or to those who never watch boxing.

I think i have never seen a fight fan who makes a comment like “you know what, i don’t like that guy (Pacquiao)”, “he is too nice, very talented, never brag about his skills or make boastful faces in front of the camera”. This is the exact character opposite that is being portrayed by Mayweather, which i think is now outdated and being rejected by smart boxing fans.

This is just a preview, don’t forget to watch the Fight Camp 360 which will air at noon time EDT on April 2 on CBS. Tell you boxing fan and non boxing fan neighbors to watch this.

According the Roach, Pacquiao will not play basketball 4 weeks before the fight. Just to focus his traning because he has another great ring fighter to spar in the US along with his training there. Another is to avoid incident before the fight. The days are past approaching, Pacquiao and Mosley are very busy in there Big Fight preparation. The worlds awaits for this fight.

Manny Pacquiao played his last basketball game before his fight against Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He played ball a day before his departure for Manila and flight to the US. There is a rule imposed by Roach that Pacquiao should not play hoops four weeks before a scheduled fight. This has been in effect since the time he trained for his fight against Antonio Margarito.

Freddie Roach confirmed this and said that this rule shall still be in effect in Pacquiao’s tarining against Shane Mosley. This prohibition shall start as soon as they start training in LA. They are expected to land the US on Saturday and resume their build up program on Monday.

Two more sparring partners aside from Shawn Porter and David Rodella will exchange punches with Pacquiao when the latter resumes his training, and these are Rashad Halloway and Karim Mayfield. Mayfield has the same fighting style as that of Shane Mosley and he is expected to beef up the defenses of Pacquiao. Meanwhile Halloway packs the same speed as Mosley and he will assist Pacquiao train for this kind of quick exchanges come May 7.

Pacquiao himself said that he will most likely be unable to play basketball due to his tight schedule. But he said that if there’s chance for him to play when they reach Manila, he would most likely play. He also said that in the coming weeks he will be entering the most crucial stages of his training.
